LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's new "reality" TV show may not be as based in reality as one would think. An insider recently revealed that actors will portray Cibrian's ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, and their two children since Glanville does not want them to be part of the show.

"LeAnn and Eddie were so against the kids being on 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' that they can't have them in this," the insider told In Touch Weekly. "They are going to have actors play Brandi and the kids' characters in the show."

The new show from VH1 and the producers of "Duck Dynasty" is reportedly somewhat scripted but based on the couple's real-life experiences. They have not had an easy time in their relationship, given their fame, the way they got together, and the notorious feuding between Rimes and Glanville.

However, producers, and perhaps Rimes and Cibrian, are hoping that the new, six-episode series, will shine a light into their everyday lives.

"Inside the sanctity of their world, Eddie and LeAnn are a typical modern family," a press release from VH1 stated, "a married couple who both have careers and are also learning how to navigate the co-parenting of Eddie's two sons."

"We are really excited to be working together on a unique show that will give you a glimpse into who we really are, or better yet, who we're really not," Rimes and Cibrian said in a joint statement. "We're thrilled to partner with VH1 and The Gurneys (producers of 'Duck Dynasty') to put our spin on a project full of love, humor, and music."

The Gurneys have made "Duck Dynasty" a cultural phenomenon, with cast members constantly touring the country and spreading their messages of faith and hope. Now they hope to provide a rare glimpse into the lives of one of the most talked-about couples in Hollywood.

The show is set to air in the fall of 2013 or spring of 2014 on VH1.
