Britney Spears's Abs Appeared False During Las Vegas Performance

Britney Spears kicked off her Las Vegas residency over the weekend, but fans were more impressed by the pop star's six-pack ab muscles.

The 32-year-old singer has prepared for her two-year residency show at Planet Hollywood Resort with grueling workouts, resulting in a trim figure.

However, several of Spears' stunning costumes revealed the singer's bare midriff, and her abs appeared to be painted on with make-up.

On Monday, many reports speculated that Spears used spray tanning solution to give the illusion of six-pack abs during the performance, including the U.K.'s Daily Mail who said that the singer may have used "make-up trickery to give her abdominals that extra Vegas showgirl quality."

Spears would not be the only celebrity to opt for make-up enhancements. Make-up contouring has become famous by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.

Meanwhile, Spears' "Piece of Me" show started on Dec. 27th and saw audience members that included Miley Cyrus who took to Twitter about the event.

"Dreams [do] come true @britneyspears lookin BANGIN," Cyrus posted on Dec. 27th.

"If you told me I'd be front row & center on @BritneySpears opening night 10 years ago I would've never believed you," she later added.

"Piece of Me" includes 48 shows, each 90-minutes-long, that will see Spears performing her biggest hits as well as songs from her new album, "Britney Jean."

"I'm going to definitely do the greatest hits, but I'm going to have to put some of my new material in it to keep it fresh," Spears explained while on "Good Morning America" in Sept.

Then, when she arrived in Las Vegas earlier this month, Spears told hundreds of fans, "This is my city now. I can't wait to see you guys opening night."
