Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC Release Date Details: New Expansion Pack To Roll Out First for Xbox Gamers

Activision and Sledgehammer Games will be releasing the next expansion for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare titled "Ascendance," they announced on Wednesday.

The DLC is slated to be released first on Xbox 360 and Xbox One this March 31. For PlayStation 3 and 4 and PC players, the expansion game arrives "one month later," Gamespot reported.

As for what consist of the new DLC, reports indicated that players will see a host of new maps and weaponries as well as other excusive contents.

Also included in the "Ascendance" expansion pack is the continuation for the Exo Zombies mode which pit players to play characters rendered by Hollywood big names like John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan, and Jon Bernthal.

"Ascendance" is part of the Advanced Warfare DLC pass. Gamers who weren't able to get the pass can purchase the extension for $15.

Gamespot later provided the details of the DLC.

Maps – the four new multiplayer maps will be called Perplex, a five-story modular apartment complex; Site 244, a medium to large three-lane map located at the foot of Mt. Rushmore, USA; Climate, a "man-made utopia climate-controlled enclosure" map; and Chop Shop, a medium sized, black market exoskeleton industrial complex.

Weapons – the OHM directed energy light machine gun/shotgun hybrid and the OHM Werewolf custom variant are introduced

Exo Zombies Chapter 2 – the saga continues in the all-new episode which introduces a slew of undead creatures, new traps, and new challenges

Exo Grapple playlist – an exclusive "Ascendance" content which gives players "a faster way to reach strategic vantage points or a brutal secondary weapon to take down the competition."
