Call of Duty Ghosts Release Date: Gamers Complain of Bored Gameplay, Say Battlefield 4 'Blows it Out of the Water'

Call of Duty: Ghosts was released today and early reviews so far have been mixed as many feel the game is just an updated clone of the last installment.

Many reviewers and gamers are also stating that Battlefield 4 "Blows CoD out of the water" an owner of both games told CP. Another gamer, Mike Miley, told CP "Did you play any of the other Call of Duty games? You've played this one already." Mark Stein appears to be focused on other things, "GTA Online happened."

The praise for the game is again the great online play and re-playable ability that keeps fans of the game coming back. However, the innovation for the franchise is severely lacking as the game is just too similar to the last one.

Call of Duty: Ghosts already fell victim to hackers just a day before its PC and console release.

The hackers were able to infiltrate the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game and increased the speed boosts, XP mods, and aimbots within the game.

According to YouTube user MinnesotaBurns, hackers obtained the CoD games much earlier than the release date and where able to get inside the game and play with the coding. From there, hackers downloaded the games into their own "hacked" consoles and enabled various cheats and effects in into the gameplay. It important to note that if a gamer takes part in a multiplayer lobby that has been hacked, their console and game will not be infected with anything.

Just this weekend Activision revealed a new game mode in a Vine video for the upcoming game called "Broadcaster Mode."

"Yes, it's happening #CODeSports," the short clip said, which can be seen here.

There is no further information on what the features of the mode are and how it will function, but one can assume the matches will be commentated throughout the game.

Ghosts will not run on full HD for the Xbox One according to an admission from Infinity Ward.

"Hey, been on the road last couple weeks so haven't had a chance to update, but wanted to confirm that for Xbox One we're 1080p upscaled from 720p. And, we're native 1080p on PS4. We optimized each console to hit 60 FPS and the game looks great on both. Still on the road, but glad to see the great reception to Extinction. Can't wait for next week's launch," tweeted Mark Rubin of Infinity Ward.

CoD will be in 720p for Xbox One, and 1080p for the PlayStation 4. According to The Verge, this was done to ensure the game was able to run in 60 fps. Being in 720p means the game will essentially have the same graphics as its 360 counterpart, albeit a little more updated visually.
The game will arrive to the PS4 on Nov. 15 and the Xbox One Nov. 22.
