Lately, it has been quite popular to question the future of the church!

“The way we’re doing church is not going to always work.” (DUH!)
“Got to invent new ways or we are in trouble.” (DUH!)
“The next generation is going to reject our methods of doing church.” (DUH!)

I could go on and on; however, I am finally coming to the conclusion that the church is going to be fine if she will continue to focus on Jesus, preaching His Word, doing ministry in power of Holy Spirit, praying like crazy, refusing to be boring, continuing to take huge steps of faith and practicing extreme generosity!

The church will not just “survive,” she will THRIVE!

When she gets pushed underground, she flourishes.

When she gets hit in the face she always gets back up!

Follow us

She is still God’s plan!

She is still beautiful!!!

And when she’s hitting on all cylinders…there’s nothing in the world that can compare to her power and potential!

Yes, the WAY we do church WILL change…

And…we don’t need to FREAK OUT about that fact OR how in the world the next generation will do church…they’ve always discovered what it takes to reach their own kind!!!

We just need to FUND IT instead of fight it! (Ripped that off from Andy Stanley!)

My job isn’t to figure out how to do church for the next generation…it’s to do life and ministry in the context of which Jesus has called me to do these things…and to allow the next generation to stand on my shoulders and take the church places that me and the people in my generation never DREAMED it would go.

Jesus said HE WOULD BUILD HIS CHURCH!

It’s in HIS hands…I would say that it is going to be OK!
