Cantinas Christian Music Festival Offering Contest to Artists, Concert is on Aug. 24

The annual Cantinas Music Festival is offering not only some of the best Christian music during this year's concert, but for aspiring artists to further their careers.

Marking its second year, the Cantinas Ranch Foundation is inviting artists to enter the Worship Song Talent Search as well as a chance to perform at the music fest on Aug. 24.

Aspiring artists may submit a video recording of themselves singing their original worship song to the Cantinas Music Festival website.

Three winners will be selected, and during an all expenses-paid trip, they will be able to perform at the festival where they will sing their original song.

Furthermore, a panel of celebrity judges will be watching the three finalists- including Kathy Lee Gifford of the "Today" show and former "Full House" star Candace Cameron Bure. Serving as the third judge is television and feature literaray agent Michael Van Dyck.

The three judges are responsible for selecting a winner out of the finalists who will take home the grand cash prize of $2,000 as well as a recording contract with the festival sponsor, RayLynn Records.

To enter, visit cantinasmusicfestival.com and submit your recording by Aug. 6 at 12:00 a.m. Central Time.

The 2nd Annual Cantinas Music Festival on Aug. 24 will see three-time Grammy Award winner and multi-platinum selling artist Michael W. Smith as well as Dove Award-winner Francesca Battistelli take the stage.

Other performers include Jason Castro, The Groovaloos, Kyle Sherman, and The Adventure of Rodeo & Juliet, among many others.

Formerly billed as "the Christian music version of Coachella," Cantinas Music Festival takes place at the Paso Robles Event Center and is expected to attract over 3,000 guests.

The family friendly festival will also host community vendors including local artists, church booths, street vendors, and food concessions. General admission tickets are on sale on the event website for $35.
