Capcom Releases New Screenshots for 'Resident Evil 7' Not A Hero DLC

Players are excited over the new screenshots released by Capcom for the upcoming downloadable content of its survival horror video game, "Resident Evil 7."

The expansion titled "Not a Hero" is expected to be released this December together with another DLC, a new episode called "End of Zoe." In "Not a Hero," gamers will follow the adventures of Chris Redfield, a mercenary commander who works for the Umbrella Co. The DLC will be set directly after the events of "Resident Evil 7," where Chris attempts to trace the steps of the original protagonist, Ethan Winters, and his wife, Mia.

The screenshots presented at this year's Tokyo Game Show revealed a scene where Chris was smashing his boot into the head of a Molded. The other images showed an eerie cave and staircase. Chris was obviously surveying an abandoned place, fully prepared to take down hordes of the undead waiting for fresh meat to sink their teeth into.

The official game description states that the commander will have to get out of a dungeon alive.

"Taking place after the horrific events that befell Ethan Winters in Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Not a Hero brings a brand new experience playing as Chris to face new threats not met in the main game. As a member of New Umbrella, Chris and team quickly set up a strategy to counter this latest threat. Will Chris once again solve the mystery of this latest outbreak and make it out of the plantation's dungeons alive?," the synopsis reads.

Meanwhile, as previously reported, the other DLC, "End of Zoe," will reveal Zoe Baker's fate after she betrayed her family and helped Ethan in "Resident Evil 7." Her storyline was left hanging, making players wonder if she survived or not.

"Resident Evil 7" is currently playable on the  Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Capcom is set to release a Gold Edition in December. The package reportedly contains both DLCs, as well as the Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Banned Footage Vol. 2.
