'Captain America' News, Update: Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie Liken 'Civil War' As More of A "Family Issue"

In a recent interview with IGN.com, cast members Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie offers a deeper insight about the main conflict that will occur in Marvel's upcoming superhero big screen offering, "Captain America: Civil War."

The actor who plays Sam Wilson a.k.a. Falcon told the publication (via Screen Rant) that there is going to be a serious dispute among the characters involved in the third outing of the franchise series however, "it's more of a family dispute."

"It's more so when you have a sibling rivalry," the 36-year-old actor explained (via SR). "The reason people can relate to these characters so much is because they can relate to what they're going through; everybody's fought with one of their siblings or one of their friends, wanted to make up with them, but couldn't figure out the best way to do it and that's kind of how Civil War works."

Evans, who plays the titular hero, echoes what Mackie said but his comparison leans more towards "the struggles with the people you love because you care about them."

It's a love and hate relationship where "you can't leave them," but "you have to make this work," Evans explained.

"It just feels like when you have a family dynamic of people that you may not get along with, but you can't just cut them out of your life, that's what makes the stakes so high," the 34-year-old said.

For the uninitiated, "Civil War" follows the comic book storyline where the Earth's mightiest heroes are divided into two factions.

One party argues that individuals who have superhuman abilities should be identified and registered under the US Government's "Superhero Registration Act." The proponent of this initiative is Tony Stark/ Iron-Man (Robert Downey Jr.).

In opposition is Steve Rogers/Cap America (Evans) who believes that keeping their identities secret guarantees not only their safety but also of their loved ones.

"Captain America: Civil War" hits the theaters May 6, 2016.
