The Carlos Danger name generator has gone viral as the Anthony Weiner sexting scandal continues to bring the New York mayor hopeful under heavy fire.
The name Carlos Danger is the pseudonym that former Congressman and current New York City mayoral candidate, Anthony Weiner, used while engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior through the Internet with a with a number of women not his wife.
Weiner was already in trouble for the sexting scandal years back, and after a break from the spotlight he recently came back to run for New York mayor. However, he has since admitted that he continued the inappropriate sexual activities for a significant period after the original scandal led to his resignation.
The Carlos Danger name generator has been created by The Slate to poke fun at the former Congressman. It allows users to type in their own names and it automatically generates a new name, similar to the type that Anthony Weiner used as a pseudonym, for each user.
The generator has become hugely popular, and throughout the week it has been receiving greater and greater attention, until on Thursday it was featured as a viral term on various search engines.
The generator has found that New York Mets baseball player, Matt Harvey, would be Rolando Violence; Ryan Braun, who was just suspended for the season for using performance-enhancing drugs, became Pablo Death.
The Anthony Weiner scandal appears to be knocking any chance the former Congressman had of winning the New York mayor position, and in a recent poll the Democratic candidate scored a moral character rating of just 17 percent. As he attended a public housing meeting on Wednesday night he was met with a chorus of boos with people clearly disapproving at his sordid sexual activities despite his wife standing in support of him.
