'Castle' Season 8 Episode 9 Spoilers: Beckett and Castle Separated Again?

The upcoming episode of "Castle" season 8 is expected to see both Castle and Beckett separated once again.

Fans have been waiting to see both Rick Castle, played by Nathan Fillion, and Kate Beckett, played by Stana Katic, together again. This was seen in the previous episode of "Castle" season 8. However, executive producers and co-showrunners of the series Terence Paul Winter and Alexi Hawley, hinted that it may not last long.

Winter and Hawley recently spoke to TV Line about the upcoming season. During the interview, they revealed that the writers put Beckett and Castle back together just to present another twist to the story. Hawley said, "What we love is that now that we're twisting it so that they're in it together but the public face of them is separate, that allows the audience to be in on the joke with them — in the sense that they can fight in public, but the audience knows it's just an act."

With that, the upcoming episode will show Beckett and Castle pretending to be separated in front of their family members and co-workers. Titled "Tone Death," the episode will show scene that present ideas never before seen on previous episodes of the series. Hawley also explained that the two will be bringing in a new kind of dynamic to their relationship. However, they revealed that there is no plan for the couple to have children yet. They did explain that they have thought of bringing in a pregnancy into the series, but they did not see the purpose of it quite yet.

While Winter explained that the thought of Beckett pregnant was challenging, he also said, "It's not off the table, but there's nothing planned for anytime soon,"

"Castle" season 8 episode 9 is expected to air on ABC on Feb. 1.
