Cha Tae Hyun Appears in Rival Show for Kim Jong Kook

"2 Days 1 Night" star Cha Tae Hyun appeared in a recent episode of rival show "Running Man" to help out his good friend, Kim Jong Kook.

Viewers of South Korean variety show "Running Man" got a pleasant surprise when Cha, a mainstay of the rival KBS show, made an unexpected appearance in episode 342, which aired on March 19. He, alongside others stars, including Park Bo Gum, Song Joong Ki and Jo In Sung, helped the "Running Man" members on a mission. Kim and the others were asked to furnish their new safe house with items they have previously listed. Cha, one of Kim's oldest friends, responded to his call and helped out.

According to reports, Cha managed to avoid controversy by wearing a mask to prevent his face from being shown in the camera. "2 Days 1 Night" and "Running Man" are rival Sunday shows in South Korea, such that making guest appearances between the two are impossible. When Kim and Haha, another "Running Man" cast member, arrived in Cha's apartment, they were greeted by his young daughter. Cha then went out the door, wearing a yellow mask, to Kim and Haha's mirth. He gave them several items, including a portable electric fan, a lampshade and a mat.
