At the moment, the Hawks have a relatively better record than the Bulls but have dropped in their form a little bit as they are now battling for the top spot in the Southeast Division with the Miami Heat.
They are at the top of their division right now but Miami is very close behind. The Hawks' record still keeps them in the hunt for the playoffs and if they find the consistency they need, they should be able to achieve their goal in making it to the next level.
As for the Bulls, they are in a tight battle with the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons in the Central Division. They are far behind the Cleveland Cavaliers but the Bulls are trying to stay afloat despite having a lot of injury problems.
The Bulls are now missing Joakim Noah and Jimmy Butler who are out with injuries. There is more burden now on Pau Gasol and Derrick Rose to operate and give the team the wins they need as the regular season continues.
It will be a hard job but the two are proven players and if they can lead the team, it will greatly help them as the playoffs come closer.
As for the Hawks, they have a lot of good players with Al Horford and Paul Millsap still manning the big-men spot and Jeff Teague has been a very reliable guard for the team.
