'Chicago Fire' Season 5: Dawson Tracks Down Culprit Behind Series of Car Accidents; Casey Tends to His Alderman Duties

"Chicago Fire" season 5 episode 17 is set to air next week and it will follow the main characters of the series as they deal with an assortment of challenging situations. Titled "Babies and Fools," the upcoming episode will find Dawson (Monica Raymund) taking matters into her own hands after finding out that someone out there is targeting to kill innocent people.

Spoilers for the upcoming episode suggest that episode 17 will have a hodgepodge of crazy stuff going on. Following a car accident, a determined Dawson will put herself at risk in her quest to track down the culprit who is behind a series of similar car accidents plaguing Chicago.

The promo for the episode also suggests that things will get a bit chaotic for Casey (Jesse Spencer) as he stands by his Alderman duties, and Severide (Taylor Kinney), who will do everything in his capacity to make Anna (Charlotte Sullivan) feel comfortable being in Chicago.

The preview for the episode also reveals that Herrmann (David Eigenberg), Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Dawson will have Molly's included as a stop in the pub crawl, despite Otis' (Yuri Sardarov) strong personal issues with it.

Meanwhile, this week's episode titled "Telling Her Goodbye" left viewers in an emotional wreck as an incident of hostage-taking took place in the station. Despite efforts to lock down the station, some armed men were able to penetrate the place and hold the rescue team on duty. Things got even worse when the other gang members drove up to Firehouse 51.

In other "Chicago Fire" news, actor Kamal Angelo Bolden will join the current season and will appear in around four or five episodes. In the series, he will play the role of a charismatic firefighter named Kannell.

"Chicago Fire" season 5 episode 17 airs on Tuesday, March 28, 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
