Chris Brown, the 23-year-old singer-songwriter, called 911 after being involved in an accident last month, and now his conversation with the emergency operator has been released.
Brown wrecked a black Porsche after a run-in with the paparazzi in California last month, which caused a witness to call 911 at the scene. However, the entertainer also spoke to the emergency operators to give his account of the incident.
"I'm good," Brown first told the 911 operator in the audio recording released by TMZ. "When I was making a turn they clipped me ... made me swerve into the alley."
The entertainer went into detail about how the accident occurred after he was being chased by photographers looking to capture images of he and other celebrities.
"His car ... they blocked me off when I was coming into the light," Brown explained. "They blocked me off and stopped so I had to swerve."
When questioned about the cars that caused him to run into an alley and ruin his own vehicle, Brown attempted to describe them.
"It was a burgundy Prius, a gray Prius ... it was about five or six cars," Brown detailed in the recording. "When they blocked me off they blocked me off in the back."
Before sending help to the scene, the operator asked the entertainer his name.
"My name is Christopher. I didn't see the plates," Brown responded before thanking the 911 operator. "They're gone. My (last) name is Brown."
Brown's car crash took place on the night before the 2013 Grammy awards, where he sat with 25-year-old girlfriend and recording artist Rihanna. Brown's representatives described the scene shortly after the accident took place in an Essence.com report.
"The occupants jumped out, with cameras, and aggressively approached [Chris'] vehicle. In an effort to remove himself from the situation, he began to back down an alley at which point his was cut off by two additional vehicles," the singer's representatives said. "Chris' vehicle was totaled due to this aggressive pursuit by the paparazzi."
