Chris Brown Facing Charges From Frank Ocean Scuffle?

Chris Brown may be facing battery charges after engaging in a scuffle with fellow singer Frank Ocean.

Ocean, 25, and Brown, 24, reportedly engaged in a physical altercation outside of a West Hollywood, Calif. recording studio on Jan 27. Witnesses said Brown started the dispute when he punched Ocean over a parking space, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.

Now, PerezHilton.com is reporting that Brown may have violated his probation stemming from a 2009 physical altercation with former girlfriend and singer Rihanna. Brown appeared in court Monday and PerezHilton.com is reporting that he is under investigation from the altercation with Ocean that may have violated his probation, which could lead to his persecution for battery.

While numerous reports claimed Ocean wanted to press charges against Brown, the former took to his Tumblr account to let fans know that he decided against doing so.

"As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man," Ocean wrote on his Tumblr page earlier this year. "But as a man I am not a killer. I'm an artist and a modern person. I'll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit."

Brown said that he is willing to put the altercation behind him.

"With the Frank Ocean situation, I'll put it like this. It's in the past," Brown said in a March interview on Big Boy's Neighborhood on Los Angeles' Power 106. "Some stuff went down but it's … always sensationalized and people blow it out of proportion."

Brown said that he has respect for Ocean's music, while refusing to rehash the cause of the altercation between the pair.

"I've got respect for his music and I respect everybody else," Brown said on Big Boy's Neighborhood radio show. "I'm not really trying to go back down that route, everything for me is moving forward."
