A new board game created by Jawbone Productions, which produces games for interactive Christian family fun and education, was launched nationally and inspires discussion and renewed application of the Bible’s teaching of wisdom.

“Inheritance,” set in the land of Ancient Israel and based on the territories of the tribes during the reign of King Solomon, teaches players about deep biblical truths while offering it in an enjoyable environment.

“Our mission is to develop games that elevate mind and spirit,” explained Wesley Sampson, founder of Jawbone Productions, in a statement, “and our prayer is that the ‘Inheritance’ board game will offer a compelling alternative to the violence that is dominating the secular video game industry.”

Played with much of the same mechanics as Monopoly and Parcheesi, game players will trade, hug one another, pay tithes and make offerings to the poor if they want to win the game. Each person represents one of the seven churches of Revelations, and as they continue to play, participants will also learn about the promised Kingdom, or New Israel.

Once a player reaches the center of the board, he or she then rings a bell and announces, “Worthy is the lamb,” claiming victory.

“Wisdom has been a quest from the dawn of creation and ‘Inheritance’ teaches the seven Pillars of Wisdom as revealed and celebrated by King Solomon,” added Sampson.

According to the gamemakers, no prior biblical knowledge is needed to play the game.

In addition to the game launching, Jawbone Productions is also offering a literary search and essay contest that asks writers to replicate the Bible. First prize takes home $10,000.

“There is no other book like the Bible and our literary competition will provide further evidence that it simply cannot be replicated,” explained the company founder in a statement.
