Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India., Nov. 25 - The National Congress of Indian Christians (NCIC) youth wing has appealed to the Election Commission to derecognise the Bharatiya Janata Party as a political party as it had violated the oath of ‘allegiance to secularism and is seeking votes in the name of religion.’

Condemning the series of attacks on Christians and missionaries by the Bharatiya Janata Party and its allied organisations like the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, the National Congress of Indian Christians alleged that the BJP is implementing its secret agenda of creating communal tensions to take advantage in the elections to the five Northern states and in Andhra Pradesh.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrang Dal are spreading hate campaign against Christians and missionaries in the name of forcible conversions, the National Congress of Indian Christians said.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is also directly involving in attacks on churches and missionaries, National Congress of Indian Christians president C A Daniel said in a press release referring to the recent attack on a group of American missionaries at Shadnagar in Mahabubnagar district.

Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi is touring the four states where elections are scheduled giving provocative statements and terrorising the minorities, Daniel alleged.
