Christian Entertainers Promote 'Christmas' Through Song, Tour
A group of family-friendly entertainers that reaches children and families is stepping into the "Christmas" word controversy and taking their stance with them as they hit 13 cities this month.
Over the weekend, Christian trio Go Fish launched their "Christmas with a Capital C" tour and will be making a daily non-stop run throughout the central U.S. from Wednesday until Dec. 20.
A highlight of Go Fish's high-energy Christmas concerts is the performance of their popular original selection, "Christmas With A Capital C," which unapologetically reminds people that Christmas is about the birth of Christ.

"The whole point of 'Christmas With A Capital C' is to show that this annual debate is about something much bigger than just whether or not to say 'Merry Christmas,'" explained Go Fish founding member Jamie Statema in an announcement.
"It's about an ongoing effort to remove God from our American culture," he added. "We decided it was time to take a stand and as a result, 'Christmas With A Capital C' has become an anthem for Christians all over the United States."
The song has been praised by many who have come across it.
"Not for the politically correct, 'Christmas With A Capital "C"' from Go Fish is one of those in your face, pull no punches, apologize to no one songs exclaims," exclaims Christian music blogger Kim Jones, "and I love it!"
Some, however, have criticized it for making faulty arguments.
"The person preaching mentions that no one says Happy Holidays during February, which, like December, does have more than one holiday," noted Dan Rafter, a freelance writer and comic book author who describes himself as not religious. "Of course, this line of logic ignores the fact that no one ever says 'Happy Lincoln's Birthday.' It also ignores the fact that Lincoln's Birthday, Groundhog Day and Valentine's Day aren't religious holidays.
"As much as the 'Merry Christmas' police don't want to admit it, we live in a country where not everyone believes that Jesus is God's son," he added in his blog.
Go Fish has been nominated for a Dove Award and has attracted sell-out crowds across the country to their live performances, which the group says are often the first real concert experience for the children who attend.
A fan-produced video of "Christmas With A Capital C," which debuted on the group's 2006 Christmas album, has generated more than 7 million hits on YouTube to date.
The "Christmas With A Capital C" tour will feature Go Fish's signature a cappella and percussion-based arrangements of classics and new favorites from Snow, their second Christmas recording.
