Christian Gaming App Leads 16,000 People to the Cross

Gaming has become a vital part in the economy, not only because of the number of people purchasing consoles but also the massive figures that speak of how much people are indulged in the world of games and winning.

In one of the most surprising and yet emotional stories about gaming, a Christian gaming app has won over 16,000 people who played the game to Jesus.

Christian gaming company Lightside developed "Stained Glass," a puzzle game that not only challenges the players to overcome all trials before coming up with beautifully crafted stained glass windows but also opens hearts to the amazing Bible stories that Sunday school kids have come to love.

In an interview with The Christian Broadcasting Network, Lightside Games CEO Brent Dusing discussed how the game paved the way for evangelism. "Through the course of making these games, we've had over 16,000 people come to Christ." He further explained that his team partnered with the Billy Graham Evangelical Association to come up with the plot that is not only enjoyable but has a much deeper goal than letting players achieve the ultimate gaming experience.

"At Lightside we want to be the light in the darkness to the 600 million people who are playing games, Dusing said.

The game incorporates mental challenges as players need to think of the best ways to form the glass windows. When all the stained glasses are put together, the windows open, revealing a Bible character that tells their story.

Aside from children testifying of how much the game has become a part of their Christian rearing, the testimonies of adults opening their hearts to the message of salvation is what Lightside sees as the ultimate goal.

"Stained Glass" has become the world's No. 1 Christian gaming app and features the music of Hillsong United, "Oceans." The game is downloadable on Apple's App Store and Google's Play Store for FREE.
