Christian Leaders Do Something Shocking Outside Ohio Abortion Clinic
A group of Christian leaders gathered outside an abortion clinic in Ohio on Thursday to bless the establishment.
In a shocking move, 15 Christian ministers and rabbis gathered outside the Preterm clinic in Cleveland, Ohio to bless the building and offer support for the pro-choice women. This is the first time that such a blessing was conducted in Ohio, according to The Blaze.
Together with 30 more of the clinic's staff and previous patients, the Christian group sang songs and expressed support for Preterm's present patients, Christian Today reports.

Rev. Laura Young, a member of the pro-choice organization Ohio Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (ORCRC), initiated the gathering. The United Methodist Minister said they conducted the blessing to offer "compassion, care and spiritual healing" to the women who want to undergo abortion. The women have been shamed and hated long enough, said Young.
Rev. Tracey Lind from the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral chimed in and asked the Lord to protect the abortion clinic, the report adds.
"Bless this building. May its walls stand strong against the onslaught of shame thrown at it," The Blaze quotes Rev. Lind's prayer. "May it be a beacon of hope for those who need its services."
Meanwhile, Young revealed that ORCRC is planning to bless eight other abortion clinics in Ohio. In a statement to the ThinkProgress blog, she said they aim the blessing activities to be an avenue for religious leaders to be involved in the discussion about abortion, the report relays.
Young said abortion is part of "social justice" issue and the religious groups cannot stay mum on it. She added that to practice their faith, they need to act and show compassion and share God's love to the women undergoing abortion.
On its website, the ORCRC says the group believes that women's reproductive decisions, including abortion, should be dictated by their belief, conscience, and specific situation and not by the rules imposed by the government.
