NFL player Tim Tebow, known for being upfront about his Christian faith by writing biblical verses on his eye black and his wristband, will have his first commercial debut as an underwear model.
The commercials will air this week where the Denver Broncos quarterback will be wearing Jockey staycool products.
While there is media buzz about possible compromise between his faith and modeling for Jockey, he stated that wearing the undergarments will only be for pure sportsmanship and not to portray or advocate sexuality.
"People may say it's underwear, but everyone wears underwear. It's not like I'm doing something risqué," he said to ESPN. "I wouldn't do anything that goes against what I stand for. The whole campaign is very classy."
If the preview for the new staycool products is any indication for what the Tebow commercials and ads will be like, the campaign may certainly be “classy,” as the professional football player stated.
The preview shows Tebow sporting Jockey’s white t-shirt equipped with special thermocules that absorb excess heat, helping skin feel cooler.

Tebow, also known to be the son of Christian missionaries, stated that 99 percent of the multi-million dollar deal with Jockey will go charity campaigns.
“I really take pride in what I endorse and what I attach my name to. It's my character and what I stand for. Through my marketing company (XV Enterprises), I'm very fortunate to receive numerous endorsement opportunities and I take less than 1 percent of what's offered, which is ultimately only the ones I truly believe in," he said, according to ESPN.
Tebow signed on as a Jockey spokesman last July.
During the NFL lockout, Tebow is reportedly training and working on his foundation, Tim Tebow Foundation, where he mobilizes people to help underprivileged children around the world.
He shared that while owners are hoping to resolve the season lockdown, due to disagreements between the NFL Players Associations and owners about players’ “unfair” share of revenue, his hope is that they don’t “hurt the greatest game in America.”
“I hope and pray they'll come to a conclusion soon."
The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner is set to release his new book, Through My Eyes, in May.
