Christina Aguilera was caught up in a fashion faux pas according to fans when she displayed a braid earlier this week that many referred to as "outrageous."

While making an appearance on television, "The Voice" judge unveiled her new look, which consisted of heavy jewelry, a leather vest over a printed shirt, star printed pants, and pink lipstick with blue eye shadow. But what really caught viewer's attention was the ball of hair on the left side of her head that mixed with the hot pink locks falling the other side of the singer's shoulder.

The hair was braided to the side of Aguilera's headed, and was tied off with black bands that mixed in with the rest of the star's pink and blonde locks. The singer also carried a pink feather fan. But commentators on many Internet blogs did not appear to be fans of the singer's look.

"I think the pink, green, purple hair she has done is ridiculous!" Sandy Stockman wrote on a Cosmopolitan blog.

Another admitted that she was a fan of the singer, but not the new hair.

"If you are gonna do it, at least do it well. With all that money you would think she could afford to not see the extensions. Like her, but not the hair!" Kokie Rocks wrote on a Hollywood Life blog.

Aguilera was joined by the other "Voice" judges on Monday night, for a chat on "Extra" with the show's host, Mario Lopez.
