A memorial service will be held today for the son of megachurch pastor Greg Laurie.

The service, which will be held at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, Calif., will be broadcast live over the internet and over the radio at 11 a.m. PT.

Delivering the eulogy will be Skip Heitzig, senior pastor of Calvary of Albuquerque in New Mexico, who had served as Christopher Laurie’s pastor for two years at Ocean Hills Church in Southern California. Also speaking will be Chuck Smith, senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa in California, and Ricky Ryan, senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara, among others.

Christopher Laurie, 33, died last Thursday in a tragic car accident near Corona, Calif. Since his death, over 20,000 comments have been posted to Greg Laurie’s blog with words of prayer and comfort.

Harvest Christian Fellowship has established the Christopher Laurie Memorial Fund to provide financial assistance to his wife, Brittany, and two daughters – the second expected to be born in November.

Friday’s memorial takes place two weeks before Greg Laurie is scheduled to lead his 19th annual Southern California evangelistic event in Anaheim, Calif.
