Church Van Overturns on Ala. Highway, Killing 1

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Police say a church van overturned on an Alabama interstate, killing the driver and sending five passengers to the hospital.

State troopers say the van from Cleveland, Ohio, overturned about 1 p.m. Friday on Interstate 20/59 about 20 miles east of Tuscaloosa.

Troopers say 45-year-old driver Diane L. Hill of Euclid, Ohio, was killed in the one-vehicle crash.

The city's fire department says the van from Unity Baptist Church was carrying six people.

Three passengers have been treated and released at a Tuscaloosa hospital. A spokesman for DCH Regional Medical Center says two others are in fair condition.

Troopers say the accident is under investigation and didn't immediately release other details.
