American Idol top ten finalist Colton Dixon returned to Murfreesboro, Tenn., and spent time with his hometown fans Saturday morning in a packed gym. While on stage addressing his fans, Dixon received a big surprise when Mayor Tommy Bragg presented Dixon with a certificate declaring May 26 a day to honor the singer.

"It's crazy! That's going to be something I'll be able to show my grandkids one day," Dixon, an outspoken Christian, expressed.

More surprises included several video messages from family, friends and celebrities including Chris Daughtry. There was also a special performance by Superchick's Tricia and Melissa Brock.

Also adding to the surprise homecoming were unexpected fans who touched the heart Dixon by traveling from other states including Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma to attend the homecoming.
