Christian comedian John Crist criticized critics of singer Lauren Daigle, for avoiding answering a question about homosexuality, and Pastor John Gray, for buying his wife a $200,000 Lamborghini.

Crist took to Instagram last week on a serious note addressing the criticism popular Christians come under. Among those mentioned, he defended Daigle, saying, “Lauren Daigle, has done more for the kingdom in a year, then you will do in five lifetimes, I’m sorry.”

The pastor's son then mocked some of Daigle’s critics who say, “Wow, I thought she was a Christian?’” calling it a “shallow” argument.

The 27-year-old singer recently came under fire for comments she made in an interview on "The Domenick Nati Show" for iHeart radio. Daigle was asked about her stance, as a Christian, on homosexuality and whether it's a sin.

“I can’t honestly answer on that, in the sense of I have too many people that I love and they are homosexuals,” Daigle said on the show. “I can't say one way or the other, I’m not God. When people ask questions like that, I just say, ‘Read the Bible and find out for yourself. And when you find out let me know because I’m learning too.’”

Her comments caused an uproar in the Christian community and many challenged the singer's assertion by sharing Bible verses that say same-sex relationships are sinful.

Crist, however, believes people are being too judgmental and holding Daigle under a microscope.

“I probably did 27 things yesterday that if you would have witnessed, you would be like ‘Wow, I thought he was a Christian,’” he joked.

“[Daigle had made] hundreds of songs lifting up the name of the Lord and led people to the Kingdom and articles and stories about her,” he continued, “and one time she doesn’t say something that isn’t how you liked it? Get out.”

Crist then provided some advice for everyone who feels like they have to save “culture” by bashing others on social media.

“If you have a negative opinion about another person that you don’t know personally, just have it, and then just throw it away,” he maintained.

Crist began his rant with the controversy surrounding megachurch pastor John Gray who came under fire for buying his wife a $200,000 Lamborghini for her birthday. Although the pastor assured the public that the money for the car did not come from the church, many still criticized him for buying such an expensive car.

“Here’s my point: all of y’all are jumping on this man like, ‘Ah, let’s kill him! Like, first of all, what if he saved up for 20 years for that? You don’t know that,” Crist said on the Gray situation. “What if he gives millions of dollars to the poor? You don’t know that. What if he didn’t take anything from his church? You don’t know that.”

Admittedly passionate about the topic, Crist went on to provide Christian critics something else to do with their time.

“Every tweet, every song that gets played, every post, every Instagram that glorifies the name of Lord, you should just be celebrating, like, ‘Thank you! We love you.’ If you’re not, then just shut up,” he stated.

Crist sealed his Insta-story post by telling Daigle’s detractors to “just shut up,” and Gray’s doubters to “shut your mouth.”
