Conjoined Twins Born in Good Condition After Family Refuses Abortion of 'Little Precious Souls'

After refusing to take the advice of doctors to abort her conjoined twins, Heather Kroger has given birth to the two boys at a hospital in Cincinnati.

The Kroger family traveled all the way from North Carolina to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital for the birth because it is equipped in dealing with sensitive cases like these.

The babies have been named Elijah and Isaac. Heather's husband Jason Kroger revealed to FOX19 NOW that the condition of the conjoined twins is better than expected although there are still "speed bumps to overcome."

Jason revealed that it was late in the pregnancy of his wife that they learned there she was carrying two babies. He said that while there was "initial shock," it did not take long for them to realize that "we've gotta do what we can do for them."

Baby Elijah and baby Isaac are the sixth and seventh kids of the couple. Jason and Heather are parents to three boys and two girls, with the eldest at 17 and the youngest at 4.

To help the family for the needs of the conjoined newborns, friends of the family set up a GoFundMe page, which has raised $17,000, close to the goal of $25,000 at the time of this writing.

The campaigned discussed the struggle during the pregnancy and how the family realized that abortion is and was never an option for them.

It is no surprise that they have been advised several times throughout the pregnancy to abort these two little precious souls. They rejected such a thought right out of hand. We are asking you to consider giving a donation to help this young couple who has been faithful to God's plan for life and love. They carry a heavy cross right now as they are facing the unknown. The babies will be delivered at any time. We are trying to raise funds for extensive pre and post medical costs, lodging, food, travel, and other family needs.

After the birth, Heather and the children stayed in Cincinnati where they were accommodated by St. Xavier Church while Jason returned to North Carolina to work and be with their older high school son.
