Courtney Cox 'Happy For' David Arquette Despite Divorce

Courtney Cox opened up about life after her divorce from David Arquette who is now expecting a child with another woman.

The "Friends" star married Arquette back in 1999 and the couple shares one daughter, Coco, but their marriage came to an end in May 2013 after a long separation.

"In divorce you always have regrets," Cox explained to More magazine recently. "We were married for a long time, so it's not like we didn't try."

Today, the 49-year-old actress offers sage advice for those burned by love.

"When you love someone, you want them to be happy, even if it's not with you," Cox told More.

Despite their divorce, Cox and Arquette remain committed to raising nine-year-old Coco together. The "Scream" co-stars are often spotted out together with their daughter and Cox has addressed their "great" relationship. Nevertheless, the actress acknowledged that the split was not easy for her daughter.

"Obviously, kids always want their parents to be together," said Cox. "But as divorces go, this is the best one we would provide."

The divorce is not without a silver lining; Coco will become a big sister now that Arquette and his girlfriend Christina McLarty are expecting a baby boy in the coming months, something Cox said Coco is thrilled about.

"She's really excited," the actress told Ellen DeGeneres last month. "At first she was nervous, because, you know, it's a big deal. At first, I was nervous, I was like whoah, heavy. Now it's great and we actually all had dinner the other night, the whole family."

Cox went on to describe the interaction with her ex-husband as being part of a "very unique relationship."

"All of us like literally, me and Christina and David and Coco," Cox clarified. "It's great though."

As for Arquette, the 42-year-old actor said he is ready for a baby boy this time.

"I've done it once," he said, referring to Coco while speaking to Us Weekly. "It's all new, but it's beautiful."

This time, with a son, Arquette said he will be "playing catch, making him laugh, and seeing my girlfriend Christina being a mother for the first time and all the joy and love that it's going to bring her and me."
