'Criminal Minds' Season 10 Spoilers: BAU to Investigate Plane Crash on 'Thousand Suns'

Fans of the hit police-procedural TV series "Criminal Minds" is yet to see more twists and turns as season 10 of the show progresses.

A sneak peek for the upcoming episode, entitled "A Thousand Suns" showed a group of flight passengers horrified as their plane is about to fall to the ground. However, the video teaser revealed that the accident wasn't caused by any mishaps. The plane crash, among the many, was actually orchestrated by someone who takes control of the flights from a remote location.

Other spoiler news suggest that the long running series will also dig deep into the new FBI agent, Kate Callahan, played by Jennifer Love-Hewitt, as the BAU team "build a profile around the suspicious circumstances."

First introduced in the season primer, entitled "X," Hewitt's character was set to replace Jeanne Tripplehorn's Alex Blake, who made a sudden exit from BAU after being traumatized over Reid's (Matthey Gray Gubler) gunshot injuries.

Fans of the series will find out more about Kate as the season progresses, although, as TVGuide reported, "she'll fill in the blanks to at least one member of the BAU," and that person will be the first one to find out who Callahan really is.

"Criminal Minds" Season 10, Episode 3 "A Thousand Suns," airs this coming Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
