'CSI' bids goodbye after 15 seasons, finale live stream made available

Every TV series addict knows that saying goodbye to a good show that has been running for a long time is the hardest. That will be the case for all the "CSI" fans out there as the police procedural drama television series has now come to an end.

After 15 years of crime investigations and forensic studies as well as police action, the series have wrapped things up through a two-hour movie special which aired live in CBS last Sunday, Sept 27. A finale live stream online was also offered to the netizens for them to catch how the long-running series will end.

As expected, it featured the return of old characters like Gil Grissom (William Peterson), Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) and Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger). E! Online writer Lauren Piester reviewed the finale saying that it felt like she was going back to her teen years. True enough, it was a reunion like no other for the characters. At one scene, Grissom did not recognize Lindsey (Katie Stevens), Catherine's now grown-up redhead daughter, who showed up and proudly said that it's her first day of work as an investigator.

A lot of things had happened in the finale including a bomb that went off in a casino, dominatrix Lady Heather (Melinda Clarke) being framed up by her client and of course, the part where everybody hoped for, Sara and Grissom getting back together after admitting that they still love each other even after their divorce a long time ago. Their love story ending was pretty cliché—the two of them sailing off into the sunset on his little boat—but fans wouldn't have it any other way.

To those who have been asking for the reason why the show ended, KPop Starz revealed that the decision did not draw from the ratings, instead, it was because of the budget the studio distributes for the show. Sources say that the series involves expensive production costs. But in order not to disappoint fans, they have come up with the movie finale for proper closure.
