'Dancing With the Stars' 2016 Cast: Kirstie Alley Thinks 'Cheers' Co-Star Would Be Great Addition

"Dancing With the Stars" 2016 is nearing its premiere and fans are going crazy trying to guess who will be part of the cast, but Kirstie Alley has recently given a hint on one of the possible additions to the show.

Kirstie Alley, who won second place in season 12, hinted that one of her co-stars on "Cheers" could join "Dancing With the Stars" 2016. She suggested that Rhea Perlman would be a good candidate for the ABC celebrity dance competition, according to Enstars.

"I think Rhea [Perlman] would be good on 'Dancing With the Stars,' because Rhea is a really good dancer," Alley told Wetpaint Entertainment in an interview. "I don't know if she'd do it."

However, Alley acknowledged that competing on "Dancing With the Stars" would entail a big responsibility. She also told Wetpaint that one would have to put in a lot of hard work to avoid being eliminated during the first week of the dance contest, the report relays.

Perlman, on the other hand, has not yet confirmed her participation in the competition, the report adds.

Meanwhile, other rumors say Italia Ricci, who played April Carver in "Chasing Life," could be part of the cast of season 22. This could be largely possible now, considering that her show has already been canceled, the Inquisitr reports.

Robert Irwin, whose older sister Bindi won in the previous season, could also join in the show's next season. The 11-year-old has previously expressed his interest in doing the show and is now reportedly communicating with the management.

"The Bachelor" alumni Ben Higgins and Kaitlyn Bristowe's names have also surfaced in the latest rumors about season 22's cast. There is also a possibility that New York Giants runningback Rashad Jennings will try the dancing arena.

"Dancing With the Stars" will return for season 22 on Mar. 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
