Dancing With the Stars Results: David Arquette Booted Off in Shock Result

Dancing With the Stars results show saw actor David Arquette voted off on week 7.

The actor had a strong fan following, and viewers were surprised at his exit; judges had praised his cha-cha last night, however scores from his group dance turned out to be not up to standard.

The favorite for elimination tonight was TV host Nancy Grace who received the lowest judges score Monday night.

Boos erupted from the audience when it was announced that Arquette had been voted out.

“This whole thing has been incredible,” Arquette said.

He also joked that he thought the results were a mistake, saying “this is my show” - a reference to dance pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s comment a few weeks back.

Arquette had received 24 points from judges for his cha-cha, and just 23 for his group tango. His total score of 47 points put him fourth among the six remaining couples.

Monday saw the stage decked out in frightfully elaborate décor including ghosts and witches, and the judges donned scary costumes while watching the seventh round of performances.

The highest score of the night went to consistently strong performer Ricki Lake and her partner Derek Hough. The couple earned 27 out of 30 points from the judges for their Paso Doble dance moves to Beyonce’s Sweet Dreams. The former talk show host and her professional dance partner are slated to win and have dominated the leader board since the opening night of the show.

Also a strong contender, actor J.R. Martinez and his partner Karina Smirnoff went home with the second best score of the night with 25 points. The couple tied with reality TV star Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke.
