The second dancing duo has been voted off season 13 of “Dancing with the Stars” with surprising unanimity.
Italian model and actress Elisabetta Canalis and professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy were eliminated Tuesday night after scoring a three-way tie of 21 out of 30 the night before.
The actress was reportedly upset that Americans still associated her with her former boyfriend George Clooney.
Talking about her elimination after the show, Canalis told the camera: “For me, it was a gift. It was a great experience; it was a great adventure so I want to thank everybody.”
“Dancing with the Stars” results night also featured a performance by singer Demi Lovato as well as the Irish band The Script.
The remaining ten couples will return to the dance floor Monday on ABC at 8 p.m. EST in the competition for the mirror ball trophy.
Also scoring 21 points from the judge’s panel Monday night was dancing stars Chynna Phillips and Nancy Grace.
The eleven “Dancing with the Stars” displayed their dancing skills Monday with either the jive or the quickstep.
It was stars David Arquette and Chaz Bono who were at risk of being eliminated Tuesday night, and looked relieved after Canalis headed home.
Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Toniolo serve as judges on season 13 of “DWTS,” and dish honest and sometimes brutal critiques to contestants.
