In a blog post in Hollywood Life, Ballas explained why they chose Slater as their pro, since in the show's history, it's unusual for female celebs to dance with female pros in the Trio.

"We've chosen Emma Slater to work with us because we're doing the Foxtrot," wrote Ballas. "We were originally going to choose a male for the Foxtrot so we can have Sadie dance with two guys, but the other pro that we wanted was taken … But I'm very excited to work with Emma, and it'll be great for Sadie to learn from a pro female all week."

"Dancing with the Stars" Season 19 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
