A Danvers homicide investigation has closed schools in Massachusetts on Wednesday, after an alleged murder of a teacher, according to reports.

Information about the investigation has remained sketchy and authorities are not releasing details about the case at this time.

The district attorney is expected to hold a news conference about the situation Wednesday morning, spokeswoman Carrie Kimball-Monahan has confirmed.

A young teen is set to be arraigned, according to NBC, which has reported that the body of teacher, Colleen Ritzer, 24, was found just after midnight in the woods near Danvers High School, which is about half an hour outside Boston.

Authorities have confirmed that blood was found in a bathroom at the school, and officials added that their initial investigations were connected to their search for a missing 14 year old boy the day before. However, they did not confirm whether that missing boy was the teen arrested and charged with the teacher's murder.

According to CBS, the arrested student will be arraigned on Wednesday in Salem Juvenile Court.

Blood was found in a second floor bathroom at the high school, the D.A. has described, and about an hour later the missing 14 year old boy was found walking on Route 1. The teacher's body was later found in the woods behind the high school.

The circumstances surrounding the homicide have not yet been disclosed by police, but Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett has said that authorities do not believe any other suspects are at large at this time.
