'Days Of Our Lives' Casting News and Spoilers: Sami Learns of EJ's Affair

"Days of Our Lives" can look forward to an action-packed week after actress Alison Sweeney offered a shocking spoiler on Twitter over the weekend.

"Check out new @SoapDigest for inside scoop on 4/21 Days episode," the actress posted along with a photo featuring the headline "He Cheated! Sami Finds Out."

"Also, stay tuned for twitter contest," Sweeney added before inviting fans to follow her live tweets for Monday's "DOOL" episode.

True to her word, a special episode dedicated to Sami (portrayed by Sweeney) and E.J. arrived Monday. Sami received incriminating evidence of E.J. and Abigail together. The truth of their affair was exposed for all to see- just weeks before Sami planned to remarry him.

Spoiler alert: after the compromising photo of E.J. and Abigail surface at the DiMera Mansion, E.J. and Sami break up. The photographic evidence is more than E.J. can dispute, even after all he and Sami have endured over the past few years. The couple has survived a history that includes E.J. raping Sami back when she was with Lucas, and Sami shooting and nearly killing E.J., but E.J's affair could finally end their tumultuous romance once and for all.

In another spoiler on "Days," Sweeney announced back in January that she was leaving the series by the end of this year, with a final episode arriving shortly.

"It was such a unique opportunity, and it is an episode that I will treasure having been a part of for the rest of my life," she told Soap Opera Digest.

"Days" first debuted on Nov. 8, 1965, and it is now one of the longest-running scripted television series in the world. Over its nearly 50 years on the air, "Days" has accumulated a strong fan following that continues to grow today, with many tuning in to the show which airs almost every week day.
