'Days of Our Lives' news, cast, spoilers: Chad is top suspect in Salem murders as more evidence become more incriminating

"Days of Our Lives" has been getting more exciting the past week as the Salem killer that entered the scene took its second victim, Paige Donovan (True O'Brien). The death of her character came as a shock; however, being only the second victim, there hasn't been enough pattern developed for people to assume who the killer could be, as the motivation is not yet fully established.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, while the search is on, it seems that Chad (Billy Flynn) is the main suspect as more and more evidence pile up against him. With Serena's case, Chad was the last person seen having an argument with her, and then waking up the next morning not remembering anything, as Serena's lifeless body was found. To make it worse for Chad, he was seen grabbing Paige and shouting at her, before she was also killed, in the same way Serena was, strangled with a necktie.

However, despite all the incriminating evidence pointing to Chad, many had not lost faith in him, even Rafe (Galen Gering) who is leading the investigation on this matter. Aside from Rafe, Abigail (Kate Mansi) is also on Chad's side, and it seems that Marlena (Deidre Halll) will be the latest addition to his list of supporters, as well.

Marlena will help Chad after she realizes that he was the one who talked Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) out from taking her life. Some speculate that Marlena will be using her ability to hypnotize Chad into remembering what happened during the night of Serena's murder. A theory is that Chad was drugged and then brought to the place where Serena was murdered, to secure a frame-up. If Marlena will succeed in her task, then it would certainly help Chad's compromising position; however, this help will also endanger Marlena further, maybe not from Stefano, but from the murderer himself.

Fans will have to stay tuned as to where Chad's case will lead to as Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC.
