'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers: Daniel's Life in Maggie's Hands After New Year's Eve Accident

"Days of Our Lives" will feature Maggie's crucial decision between life and death after a shocking accident during New Year's Eve.

The latest spoilers for the Jan. 4 episode of "Days of Our Lives" reveal that the hospital will be shaken up after a three-car pileup on New Year's Eve. Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) will have to decide on Daniel's (Shawn Christian) fate and may have to let him go to save more patients with less threatening injuries, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry.

It can be remembered that Salem celebrated New Year's Eve with a blast on Thursday night. However, the occasion turned grim after a horrible car crash occurred, the International Business Times reports.

The doctors will have to work fast to save as many of the car crash victims as possible. While Brady (Eric Martsolf), Eric (Greg Vaughan), and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) need to be treated for their injuries, Daniel's condition will be much worse, the report details.

Maggie will find it hard to decide between trying to save Daniel, who could be brain-dead already, and letting him die to focus on one or more patients. She will have to make this decision for at least two of the crash victims, the report relays.

Meanwhile, Chad (Billy Flynn) will find it difficult to accept Abigail's (Kate Mansi) revelation. The latter had revealed that Chad is Thomas' father, but she will have to present evidence to make him believe her. It is worth noting that she revealed the secret when she interrupted an intimate moment between Chad and Belle (Martha Madison).

Belle, on the other hand, will walk out of the room and decide to stop dealing with Chad and Abigail's drama. She will instead focus her energy on Philip (John-Paul Lavoiser). The two could find themselves once again being drawn to each other and they could take their friendship to the next level.

"Days of Our Lives" airs on Monday, Jan. 4 on NBC.
