Demi Moore Hospitalized: 911 Tapes Censored for Drug References

Demi Moore, hospitalized for "exhaustion," will have the tapes of her 911 call released Friday.

The tape will be highly edited, according to reports.

Moore's attorneys said the censoring of the tapes will protect her privacy. Portions of the call referring to her medical history and apparent substance abuse that led to the hospitalizations will be stricken.

Moore, 49, was taken to a Sherman Oaks, Calif. hospital on Monday. She has since been released.

It is unclear why she was brought to the hospital, but representatives of the actress said she was admitted "for exhaustion and to improve her overall health."

Ashton Kutcher, who recently split from Moore, was noticeably absent during the most recent incident. Kutcher was in Brazil for an advertising project, according to reports. The actor, famous for his active Twitter page, has made no mention of Moore or the incident.

It is unclear if the split between Kutcher and Moore led, in part, to the hospitalization.

Moore has reportedly lost significant amounts of weight since the breakup. Some reports indicate Moore may have been treated for anorexia and substance abuse issues.

"She collapsed after having an epileptic seizure," a source told RadarOnline.com.

A source told TMZ that the seizure was triggered by inhaling nitrous oxide.

"Demi is in getting treated for anorexia, as well as other issues that caused her seizure," another source said. "She has lost a ton of weight."

In is not likely that the highly censored 911 tapes will shed any more light on the reasons why Moore was hospitalized. It is unclear if the new information will be able to prove or disprove any of the rumors swirling around about the cause of the hospitalization.

Rumors have circulated before about Moore's alleged prescription drug abuse. The alleged abuse was reported to be a factor in her split from Kutcher.
