Denver Broncos vs St Louis Rams is a big game on Saturday night in the NFL Preseason 2013 schedule. The Broncos haven't been spectacular so far this preseason and they will be hoping to ramp things up significantly as they head into the final straight before the regular season gets underway for them on Sept. 5. The game starts at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
The Broncos bested San Francisco 10-6 in their opening encounter this pre-season, but last week were greatly exposed by Seattle where they lost 10-40.
Peyton Manning has completed 13 from 20 throws so far this preseason for 176 yards and 1 touchdown. His favorite receiver has been Julius Thomas who has successfully received 8 times for 105 yards and an average gain of 13.1 yards.
However, overall the Broncos passing yards has been extremely poor, and at just 155.0 yards per game on pass so far they are ranked 30th in the NFL. Their rush has also not lit things up, and at just 96.5 yards on rush per game they are leaving a lot of fans frustrated. The Broncos will be looking to improve on total yards gained, and a return of just 251.5 total yards per game is simply nowhere good enough.
Denver fans will want to see significant improvement here tonight.
Meanwhile the St Louis Rams have also been not very impressive; losing 19-27 to Cleveland, before going down 7-19 to Green Bay last week. Their pass has been impressive, and at 289.5 yards per game on pass they have caused significant problems for opposition, however, with just 72.0 yards on rush they are putting too many eggs in one basket.
Tonight should be a good opportunity for both teams to make significant improvements against opposition who are lacking in confidence and form right now.
