'Designated Survivor' Season 1 Episode 14 'Commander-in-Chief'

Episode 14 of the first season of "Designated Survivor" is coming, and is called "Commander-in-Chief," in which viewers will see United States President Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) try to take care of an international matter. This next episode of ABC's political drama is coming on Wednesday, March 29, at 10:00 p.m. EDT.

President Kirkman's fledgling administration will be tested by an unexpected issue. When this problem happens to be international in scope, it just makes sense for the interim presidency to start casting around for assistance.

Following the episode synopsis provided by TV Guide, unforeseen trouble in another country in the African continent has demanded U.S. intervention, and President Kirkman and his team will find help from an unlikely source. Who will this unexpected ally be, and what could be his or her motivations for helping the current administration? Meanwhile, Hannah Watts (Maggie Q), who has been investigating the Capitol Bombing since the start of the series, will have problems of her own. Her investigations into the catastrophic act that has all but wiped out the previous administration will take an unexpected turn. Viewers will find out the latest roadblock to Hannah's search for the truth behind the bombing in next week's episode.

Back in the White House, Emily Rhodes (Italia Ricci) settles as the new chief of staff for President Kirkman's office. While Emily wrestles with the mountain of tasks that her new position will bring to her, Aaron Shore (Adan) Canto grapples with his indecision as he makes a difficult choice.
