'Destiny 2' News: Bungie Explaines New Faction Rally Event Set To Arrive Next Week

With Destiny 2 set to debut its three factions next week, Bungie has decided to welcome them in a new event dubbed the Faction Rally. The event will require members of each faction to gather points to win and unlock special discounts for its members.

The game welcomes the three factions seen in the first game, New Monarchy, Dead Orbit, and Future War Cult on Sept. 26. What better way to celebrate than with an in-game event to provide some friendly competition.

Bungie's Faction Rally event will have the players choose their side, return to the wild, and complete activities to support their faction. They can do public events, explore Lost Sectors, complete strikes, clear the raid, or compete in the Crucible.

Every time they complete an activity, they will be rewarded with faction tokens that they can turn in for packages full of loot as well as contribute to their faction's reputation. Each faction has a week to collect reputation for their respective team.

Once the week is up, the most popular faction unlocks a gun for sale at a minimal price of 1000 Glimmer for its members. Other players can still pick up the gun although at a much higher price of 50,000 Glimmer. The weapons in the quests are the Dead Orbit Scout Rifle, The Future War Cult Pulse Rifle, and the New Monarchy Sidearm.

Just like in the previous game, the factions in Destiny 2 will be represented by Arach Jalaal for the gothy Dead Orbit, Lakshmi-2 for the 70s disco-inspired Future War Cult, and Executor Hideo of the Asian-influenced New Monarchy.

The Faction Rally event will begin on Sept. 26 and run until Oct. 3 and will only be open to Level 20 players or higher who also completed the Destiny 2 campaign.
