'Destiny 2' Reigns Supreme in Top 10 UK Sales Chart for the Third Week
With roughly three weeks after its release, "Destiny 2" continues to dominate the U.K. market.
In the latest U.K. Software Charts published by GFK Chart-Track, Bungie's first-player shooter game still held a firm grip on the top spot for the week ending on Sept. 23. This is the third straight week that the game emerged at the top, as it first debuted in the charts at number one, two weeks ago.
Moreover, Gamespot reported that "Destiny 2's" finish marked 11 top spot placements for Activision, the game's publisher. The other games that also tasted number one include "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" and "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy."

Meanwhile, "Project Cars 2" from Bandai Namco debuted strong, as it followed "Destiny 2" at number two. It was trailed by basketball game "NBA 2K18" from 2K, which slipped to number three after taking the second spot last week. Konami's "Pro Evolution Soccer 2018" also dipped in the rankings to fourth from last week's number three.
Nintendo's "Pokken Tournament DX," on the other hand, barged into the charts with a fifth-place finish. Meanwhile, "Grand Theft Auto V" remained a solid title at number six. This was the 210th week that the game was listed on the charts.
Rounding out the top 10 are "Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy" (seventh), Sony's "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (eighth), Microsoft's "Forza Horizon 3" (ninth), and Warner Bros. Interactive's "Lego Worlds" (10th).
Another notable title is "Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite" by Capcom, which sat at the 12th spot.
Earlier this month, Bungie announced in a blog post that "Destiny 2" has already attracted millions of players in its first two days after launch. "Since then, millions of Guardians have evacuated a City under attack to arrive 'safely' at the Farm. The game is afoot!" the game developer posted.
"We expect more players to join our ranks in the days and weeks that will follow. Veterans of our community know that Destiny is not just a story about heroes, but also a world that evolves with you," Bungie added.
