'Devious Maids' season 3 wraps up, Lifetime to renew show for season 4?

Another season has ended with "Devious Maids" and it's no surprise that it left fans with another cliffhanger. The last episode of season three titled "Anatomy of a Murder" finally revealed the mystery behind the deaths of new maid Blanca (Naya Rivera) and tennis pro Louie Becker (Eddie Mills).

The maids discovered that it was Carmen's (Roselyn Sanchez) fiancé Sebastien (Gilles Marini) all along after Carmen found in the possession of her lover the dress she lent to Blanca before Blanca was abducted. Everything heated up when Sebastien learned that his secrets have been revealed, which resulted to holding Carmen at gunpoint. Fortunately, Marisol (Ana Ortiz), Evelyn (Rebecca Wisocky) and Adrian (Tom Irwin) came to the rescue.

After Sebastien's confessions about chopping Louie's body and throwing them around Beverly Hills and killing Blanca after she questioned the bloody room where the tennis athlete was murdered, he then threatened to kill Carmen. But Marisol was quick to hit the Frenchman from behind using a fireplace tool which leads to a gas leak. The group hurried out of the house but Adrian's life was put to danger when he returned inside to grab a family photo. The Powell mansion then exploded within minutes leaving the fans wondering if Adrian really died along with Sebastien.

In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Sabrina Wind kept mum about the future of Adrian. "Let's just say we have a really great story to tell with that," she said with a laugh after being asked if Adrian was really gone now. But more than Adrian's fate, the real question is if the show will be renewed for season four.

Showrunner Brian Tanen revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that he is very optimistic about the show getting renewed. Although it's beyond his control, he hopes that Lifetime will give them a new season. Tanen then said that the answer to the big question will probably be announced by the end of September.

Until then, loyal fans will have to wait to find out what will happen to the characters after the blows in the season finale of "Devious Maids." Is Adrian really gone? Will Taylor and Katy be back after escaping? What will happen to Zoila's (Judy Reyes) complicated childbirth? Stay tuned!
