Director confirmed romantic-comedy theme for 'Toy Story 4'

With a lot of pressure and demands from fans, the "Toy Story" franchise creators have decided to bring Woody, Buzz, and the other toys in "Toy Story 4." The creators promised that they will bring a unique story on the series' final installment.

The movie is now in the making, and the plot will revolve around Woody and Bo Beep's love story, according to a post by Movie News Guide. The story also will touch on the real story behind what happened to Andy's parents, and a lot of other revelations.

During the last Disney D23 Expo, John Lasseter, the movie's director and Pixar's chief creative officer, said that the 2017 movie will have a different take, and is unlike any of the other three movies. Lasseter said that since Bo Beep was given by Andy's mom in the last film, Woody and the other toys decided to look for her.

The new movie will explore Bo Beep's backstory and will show her emotional history. But even with the dramatic story, the director promised that it will still have the same comedic value that the earlier films had. The director confirmed that it will indeed be a romantic-comedy theme for Toy Story 4.

Another story that will be tackled in the film is Emily's (Andy's mom). Andy's mom doesn't wear a ring, and was never seen with someone in the Toy Story franchise, so fans had been asking where Andy's dad is. No one ever knows what happened to him, although some fans speculated that he's either dead or just left. According to reports, the story of Andy's parents will now be revealed in this movie.

Fans are also curious to know if Bonnie (the toys' new owner) will be back in the new movie since she was not mentioned by the director.

Moviegoers just have to wait for two more years because Toy Story 4 is set to premiere on June 16, 2017. It will be released by Walt Disney Pictures, and produced by Pixar Animation Studios.
