Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Coming Sept. 23, 3 Different Storylines Available

Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, also known as Disney Infinity 2.0, is set to be released later this month on Sept. 23 for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, PSVita, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, the PC, and for the iOS platform. The title is a sequel to the 2013 video game Disney Infinity.

The plot for Disney Infinity 2.0 features story material by Brian Michael Bendis and will involve various Marvel superheroes in three different campaign stories.

The first will follow the Avengers as they try to stop the Norse God of Mischief Loki from rebuilding the Casket of Ancient Winters. The second story will follow Spider-Man in his mission to stop the Green Golbin's symbiote invasion. The third story will be about the Guardians of the Galaxy where the Guardians must protect Knowhere from Ronan the Accuser, likely inspired by the film.

Gameplay for Disney Infinity 2.0 will be similar to the first title where each character can equip a "Pack" or a "Tool." A "Pack" works much like a backpack while a "Tool" is something that can be equipped on a character's hand.

Disney Infinity 2.0 will increase the size of the worlds in Toybox mode, due to the inclusion of characters who can fly or hover like Iron Man. Level caps for every character has also been increased from 15 to 20. Customization of characters have also been added to the game in the form of a "Skill Tree."

New figures will also be rolled out and will be used in-game as well. The Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack will include Iron Man, Black Widow, and Thor but each can be sold separately.

Other characters included are the rest of the Avengers, Loki, Spider-Man, Nova, Venom, Iron Fist, Nick Fury, Green Goblin, Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket, and Groot.
