Do I Appreciate God?

. . . let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. Hebrews 12:28

When someone does something nice for you, you normally say "thank you." You tell that person how much you appreciate what he or she did. Sometimes you may even buy the person a gift.

God has done so many wonderful things for you. He loves and cares for you. How do you tell Him that you appreciate all that He has done? One way is to give God honor. To give honor to God means to give Him a high place in your thinking. You also show honor when you tell others how great He is. The Bible says in Psalm 66:2, "Sing to the glory of his name; offer him glory and praise!" Instead of bragging when someone gives you a compliment, you honor God by saying, "Thank you. It was God who helped me." You are giving the honor to Him for what He does in your life.
