Domestic Mission Report

USA -- The latest report from the U.S. Department of Justice released statistics indicating that the number of incarcerated persons in the United States continues to climb. Crossroad Bible Institute's David Schuringa responds. "It underscores the urgency for our program. These prisoners won't be in prison forever. They will eventually be released. In fact, this year marks the largest prison exodus in history." Schuringa explains why their outreach is needed. "Prison time alone, punishes, but it does not rehabilitate. The whole program of Crossroads Bible Institute is designed so that there's in-depth, longer-term study of God's Word, while they are incarcerated, providing them principles upon which to make better decisions." Crossroads Bible Institute is looking to expand their ministry. In order to do that though, Schuringa says they need more teachers and funding.
