'Dragon Ball Super' Episode 84: Will Krillin and No. 18 Join Goku in Tournament of Power?

Goku continues to recruit more fighters into his team, and in the next episode of the Japanese anime series "Dragon Ball Super," the enthusiastic Saiyan will take his son along to visit an old friend who, it turns out, has been training in secret.

In the upcoming episode aptly titled "Son Goku the Recruiter Invites Krillin and No. 18," Goku and Gohan will be searching out Krillin to try and convince him to join the battle for Universe 7's survival. But to their surprise, Krillin has never stopped training since Goku first approached him to be his sparring partner and they were sent on a mission that effectively reawakened his strength and thirst for battle.

In the official trailer for the episode, Gohan is shown testing out Krillin's strength while Goku and No. 18 watch over them and talk. Gohan has already expressed his doubts about Krillin's ability to hold his own in the Tournament of Power, but will this sparring match prove to him, once and for all, that Krillin is a strong fighter, just like his dad believes?

And since No. 18 is part of the team he has envisioned together with his son, it seems that Goku will take care of convincing No. 18 to join them. What will the wife and mother's initial response be? How will Goku be able to convince her should she refuse to leave her daughter?

Goku's team is starting to come together, and he is hard-pressed in choosing only the strongest fighters in his universe because the tournament will not allow them to bring senzu beans to the stage. There is also the matter of telling the rest of the team about the consequences of losing. How will knowing that the fate of Universe 7 lies on their shoulders affect their willingness to join the fight?

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 84 airs on Sunday, April 2 at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV.
