'Dragon Ball Super' Spoilers: Champa Arc Will Now Start in Manga

The hit anime series from Fuji TV, "Dragon Ball Super," is just wrapping up the "Battle of Gods" saga, which revolves around Goku and Beerus' fight. After the two Gods' epic battle, the TV show will now move on with the "Resurrection F" saga in just a few weeks

Meanwhile, the manga adaptation of the TV series will soon see the end of the Resurrection F arc, and according to Attack of the Fan Boy, the Champa arc will follow soon after.

Kanzenshuu recently reported an update from Weekly Shonen Jump providing hints on what is supposed to happen next in the manga, especially with the new Champa arc. Not a lot of details are known from Champa yet. In another report from Kanzenshuu, it showed Champa behind Beerus, and the new character appears to be a "fatter version of Beerus," in the picture. He is said to have a female counterpart of Whis with him, and is also rumored to have come from a different universe, too.

Some fans even claimed that Champa's name, which is pronounced as "shanpa," is a play on the word champagne, just like "Beerus" for beer and "Whis" for whiskey. However, 'Battle of Gods' writer Yusuke Watanabe denied that Champa, Beerus, and Whis' names were derived from all alcoholic drinks.

Fans will just have to wait and see in the next few weeks on how Champa's story will unfold in the manga. His arc may bring fresh input that the viewers need on the "Dragon Ball Super" series, since the previous arcs were only a retelling of the "Dragon Ball" films.
